How is the light steel structure system produced? What is the carrier system principle?

Structure elements produced in the factory on a CNC counter with modern machines under control and auditing are assembled by being brought to the construction site in a protected manner.

They are not prefabricated but permanent structures with a long life and high comfort standards. When completed, the indoor and outdoor appearance of the structure is no different than that of a traditional one. While the system is realized by experienced engineers and architects, productions are made on site and in the factory by trained workers. It is suitable to all national and international specifications in design and manufacturing.

Is there a need for a thread on walls for plumbing? Does that create any costs due to repair and maintenance?
The electrical and mechanical plumbing in light steel structure systems is considered during the design phase. Before manufacturing, the placement of holes on wall pillars and furnishing beams where installation is carried out is determined and opened during manufacturing. Can steel be recycled? Does Akkon Steel use recycled steel?
It is reported by the American Iron Steel Union and certified by the International Environment Management Systems that steel is a recycled material at a level of 90 % and above. Since there are so few manufacturers in our country who make steel roll production, our domestic suppliers purchase their raw materials from abroad. Although the galvanized iron sheet profiles are not manufactured from recycled steel, we recycle our steel waste.

Is there damp indoor air in light steel structures as there is in the buildings made using traditional structure systems?
According to the American Lung Foundation, these are the structure systems whereby areas with healthy indoor air quality are obtained thanks to materials used.

How many meters of span can you pass at most?
Special static calculations are made for each project and the maximum spans and floor heights are determined based on the consequent data obtained.

Are the light steel structure construction materials special?
As the construction materials used with the light steel building system are also the materials commonly used in traditional building systems (plasterboard, cement essence plate, jacketing etc.) there is no problem in supplying them under national and international conditions.

Which countries prefer a light steel system?
Interest in the system is gradually increasing. It has been widely used in the US for 50 years, is being demanded more and more in European Union countries, Gulf countries, and particularly, in the recently established United Arab Emirates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and was introduced in Turkey after the 1999 earthquakes thanks to Akşan Structure. Are the walls of light steel buildings too thin?
They are thinner compared to a concrete building. However, the same carrier and isolation opportunities can be ensured with thin wall sections thanks to this system. Yet, all required isolation values are obtained thanks to the necessary covering and filling materials. It should not be forgotten that light steel structure is a system that is permanent and provides all comfort conditions.

What kind of buildings can be made as light steel?
Steel structures can be applied on structures with any purposes, except for tall buildings. There are several examples of structures built with light steel and which are being used now with several different purposes as residence, school, hospital, warehouse, dormitory and hotel. The elements of light steel structure need to be used with a current carrier design only in tall buildings.

How long can a light steel structure last?
It easily provides the minimum economical lifetime that a structure needs to provide and can be used for a much longer time. It was found in some aging tests done for the steel used that there is an endurance period of 180 years. Moreover, since all sections are closed, the lifetime is longer.
